Each of us are pure and innocent at birth.
We are given a promise of fulfillment,
of joy, of serenity, of all good things in life.
We look forward to a happy life with parents and grandparents
who will protect us from harm, who will instill wisdom into us.
Then, along comes the dark time, the lions and tigers and bears,
a time when someone violates us, invades our bodies against our will.
